Instructions for Poster Presentations

Posters will be displayed in Salon A at the Doubletree Hotel in Tallahassee.

1. Schedule

(set-up, presentations, take-down)

Set-up:  The optimal time to set-up your poster in Salon A, Doubletree Hotel will be on the afternoon of Wed., Feb. 25.  The room will be open for exhibitors on Wed. from 3 PM to 5 PM for this purpose.
Alternatively, the room will open again at 8 AM on Thurs., Feb. 26.
Posters should be on display by Thurs. morning to maximize possibilities for exposure.

Presentation: Poster presentations will take place during the mid-morning break on Sat., Feb. 28, 10:00 – 10:30 AM

Take-down: All posters must be taken down by noon on Sat., Feb. 28.

2. Poster format

Posters should be formatted to a size of 3’ x 4’ (36 inches x 48 inches).

The conference site will only allow the use of push-pins or T-pins to affix posters to the corkboards; hence, please avoid using foam board that is too thick to mount your posters.

For your information, The Society for Conservation Biology has some very helpful tips and guidelines about how to design effective posters.  You might consult their website as you prepare your own displays:
