Research opportunity for conference attendees in Boise
The Idaho State Historical Society's Public Archives and Research
Library, located in Boise, will open its doors exclusively for ASEH conference attendees on Monday and Tuesday, March 10-11, from 9 to 5.
(Regular open days are Wednesday-Saturday).
The Idaho Historical Society, which serves as the official
repository for Idaho's state
and local government records, also holds extensive manuscript collections, microfilm newspapers, oral
histories, maps, and photographs. Collections relate to themes such as natural
resource extraction, irrigation, soil conservation, agriculture,
Depression era CCCs, the Forest Service, logging, firefighting, mining,
tourism, outdoor recreation, transportation, and environmental
activism.
