How to Apply for a Travel Grant for 2011 Conference

ASEH wishes to encourage graduate students and low-income, international, and minority scholars to attend its conference in Phoenix, Arizona, April 12-16, 2011.  The following grants are available:

  • 10 travel grants of $500 each for graduate students and low-income and international scholars who are presenting research in a session at the meeting in Portland
  • Minority travel grant for minority/non-white scholars from North America, Mexico, and the Caribbean to attend the meeting in Portland

Special consideration will be given to first-time applicants. If you are interested in applying for one of these grants, please provide the following items:

  • Brief vita or resume (two pages);
  • One-page statement outlining your interest an objectives in attending the ASEH conference, and your paper title;
  • Specify all sources of funding received already or applied for;
  • Specify which of the grants listed above you are seeking.(travel grant or minority travel grant)

Note: The deadline for applying for a travel grant to ASEH's 2010 conference in Portland, Oregon has passed. Instructions for next year's grants to our 2011 conference will appear on this website during the spring of 2010.
