Travel Grant to ASEH’s Portland Conference Available for graduate student liaison

ASEH is offering a travel grant of $500 for a graduate student willing to serve as the liaison to the ASEH executive committee for one year. Requirements and responsibilities include the following:

1.    Applicants must be graduate students who are members of ASEH

2.    Recipient will attend ASEH’s executive committee meeting at our annual conference in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, March 13, 2010, from 12:00 noon – 5:00 PM

3.    Recipient will assist in planning the graduate student reception at our annual conference in Portland, Oregon on Thursday evening, March 11, 2010

4.    Recipient will communicate with graduate students, asking their ideas about how to improve their experience in ASEH

5.    Recipient will assist with ASEH’s Facebook page

6.    Recipient will help select next year’s recipient

Estimated time commitment: approximately 40 hours. If you are interested, please submit a statement of no more than one page explaining why you are interested in this position and your ideas about improving the experience for students in ASEH. Submit to director@aseh.net by November 30, 2009. A committee that includes the current graduate student liaisons and the director of ASEH will evaluate applications, and the recipient will be notified by December 10, 2009.
